Mepham Visuals is a photography and video business run by Chelsey Mepham, based in Medway, Kent. This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit mephamvisuals.co.uk or get in touch, how I use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What I collect

Details you send me through the contact form, by email, phone or social media, such as your name, email address, phone number and information about your project.

Booking and invoicing details if you go ahead with a shoot.

Photographs and video taken during your shoot.

Basic technical information when you visit the website, such as your browser, device and the pages you view. This is collected through cookies set by Wix, my website provider.
How I use your information

To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote.

To plan, deliver and invoice your shoot.

To keep the records I am legally required to keep, such as accounting records.

To share images in my portfolio or on social media, only with your permission.
My lawful basis
I use your information because it is needed to respond to your enquiry or carry out our agreement, to meet legal obligations, because it is in my legitimate interests to run and improve my business, or because you have given consent (for example, to share images of you publicly). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who I share it with
I never sell your information. I only share it with trusted services that help me run my business, such as my website provider (Wix), email, cloud storage and image delivery services, and my accountant. These providers must keep your information secure.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Client records and invoices are kept for 6 years to meet HMRC requirements. Images and video are kept for as long as needed to deliver your work and any backup period we agree, then securely deleted.
Cookies
The website uses cookies set by Wix that are needed for the site to work, along with analytics cookies that help me understand how visitors use it. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, and ask for a copy to be transferred to you or someone else. To make a request, email chelsey@mephamvisuals.co.uk and I will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please contact me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
